Services

We currently serve as Town Engineer for Firestone, Colorado, providing general services, development review, and capital improvement design. We currently provide engineering services for several area municipalities, school districts, land development companies, and energy companies.
CCG specializes in the following areas:

• Land Development
• Municipal Infrastructure Design
• Potable Water and Irrigation Distribution System Hydraulic Modeling
• Potable Water and Irrigation Pump Station Design
• Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Design
• Storm Drainage and Utility Infrastructure Master Planning
• Storm Water Hydrologic and Hydraulic Evaluation
• Bidding, Contract Administration, and Construction Observation Services.

Municipal Engineering
These services include our development processing/plan review, construction observation, master planning, and general consultation that we provide to local governments and special service districts.

Retro-fit Design
These services are really a specialty of CCG, and an area that many firms in the region do not have a significant amount of experience. Since much of our work is with municipalities where retro-fit design is required for many of the capital improvement projects, CCG excels at retro-fit design and identify the sometimes complex solutions necessary to complete the project.

Land Development Design

These services include all aspects of civil engineering design in support of land development applications made to local/county governments by private land developers. Utility construction plans, drainage reports, and distribution system hydraulic reports are the primary in-house services. Surveying, geotechnical investigations, traffic impact studies, endangered species/clean water compliance studies, and environmental site assessments, are services that we will provide through sub-consultants.

Construction Observation and Contract Administration
This service is offered both as the last step in municipal development review and as an additional service offered after infrastructure designs completed by CCG proceed to construction. The construction observation service is basic inspection of ongoing construction activities to determine compliance with the approved plans and specifications. Construction contract administration services include construction staking, processing of payment applications, negation of change orders, and plan interpretations and clarifications.

Energy Development
This service has grown over the last several years with the development of the Niobrara Formation in Northern Colorado. CCG provides typical land development design within many area municipalities, including grading, drainage, and roadway design. Additionally, CCG also offers help in permitting facilities within floodplains.

Opportunities and Constraints Evaluations
This service is a standard service for civil engineering firms but is underutilized at times. As a result of the current economic climate in this region, CCG understands land development must now occur in smaller steps and sometimes with less funding. CCG can provide standard evaluations, however, we also use software that allows us access to free topography data and aerial photos for the entire country. CCG can reduce the cost of the evaluation by using this free data, while still providing preliminary design and construction information necessary to evaluate if the project can proceed.

Infrastructure and Storm Drainage Master Planning
Master planning is a critical component of municipalities and special districts. Our staff has extensive experience in evaluating historic infrastructure demands and then projecting that historic data forward to anticipate improvements or additions. The plans are prepared in a manner that provides critical technical information with narrative explanation.

Stormwater Hydrologic and Hydraulic Evaluation
This service is provided using the most current rainfall runoff and runoff routing modeling techniques. Results are presented in report form with all pertinent technical information and narrative explanation.

Potable and Raw Water Distribution System Hydraulic Modeling
This service is provided using the most current distribution system modeling techniques. System delivery and pressure constraints are applied to the proposed, or existing, system so that pumping and storage needs can be determined. Results are presented in report form with all pertinent technical information and narrative explanation.

Sanitary Sewer Collection Systems and Lift Station Design
This service is provided using the most current collection system modeling techniques. Existing and/or projected flow rates are applied to the existing or proposed system so that the gravity sewer lines, lift station, and force mains can be sized properly. Calculations and design results are presented in report form with a narrative and all pertinent technical information.

Engineering Design and Construction Standards Preparation
This unique service is provided to municipalities and special districts. We use our extensive design and construction background to prepare published criteria for developers, engineers, and contractors use within those jurisdictions.

Wide Format Document Archiving
This is a service that we have offered to several of our municipal clients and includes printing or scanning documents up to 36 inches wide and createing a database of scanned documents. CCG can build a spreadsheet database with hyperlinks to the scanned documents, and place on a portable hard drive if desired. Click on the link (Document Archiving Brochure) to see a brochure presenting archiving options and pricing.
